Origin:
Bred by François Cels (France, circa 1835).
Class:
China / Bengale.
Bloom:
Flesh-pink.  Large bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Parentage:
If you know the parentage of this rose, or other details, please contact us.
Notes:
Cels did not list a China by this name in their catalogues of this time. They listed a China, 'Louis-Philippe 1er' and also a Tea, 'Philippe premier' with no description or breeder attribution for either rose.

To confuse matters further, Vandael's 1834 catalogue lists 2 chinas by this name: one attributed to d'Angers (Guérin) & the other to Miellez.
