I received this rose as own root years back and collected and saved root tips of it before planting. As one moves up and down in focus the individual chromosomes come in and out of focus and can be counted. This is a really great rose and with the crosses done with the diploid 'Weiss Immensee' and higher ploidy roses and then recrossing across ploidy levels some are segregating to be diploid and many are triploid with a few tetraploid ones.
