This is absolutely delightful Paul.
Is it once-blooming?
Is it too early to tell how large the plant will grow?

Hi billy,
It is a repeat bloomer: it gave me four rounds of flower in its first year as a seedling, so that is promising, no? Since it did not exceed 24" in year one, I cannot comment on its adult stature. I have seen plants like this turn into 3 foot rounded bushes, and others grow up to be rampant climbers to 15 feet. I won't know until it reveals its true nature over the next two years. I would be more than pleased to see it turn into a climber.....blooming four times a year or more with brilliant crimson blooms like that, it could be a real asset in the garden!

Paul, as Billy said, it's a lovely looking rose (I especially love the look of its leaves too). Is it unusual for 'Violette' to sire repeat bloomers like this? I've used it on a few things this year and wasn't expecting remontancy at all. This gives me some hope.

EDIT: Never mind that question... just checked the lineage information here and every one of the first gen crosses are repeat bloomers... :)
