Really enjoying your photos Deborah! Join you in admiration for the health and beauty of this rose! & also like to cut the buds and bring them inside to open, to enjoy the deeper yellow version. Some older articles mention the methods exhibitors used to bring out the yellow in certain roses. eg. tying brown paper bags over the buds, and using elaborate paraphernalia to support cut-off brown beer bottles held over promising buds.

Thank you! Yes, it's almost like having two roses in one. I certainly don't mind the fading; the blooms are still so full and sumptuous and a lovely ivory color even when faded. This flush still going strong and it has been 7 days straight here with temperatures above 100 degrees F. The blooms don't even look singed! It is, without doubt, my most heat-tolerant tea, with Souv. de Pierre Notting a close second.
