It is a very common issue, Jonathan, with "violet" toned roses. Here in Southern California, the heat, high UV and extreme alkalinity turn virtually all of them like this. Intrigue, Midnight Blue, Stephen's Big Purple, Wild Blue Yonder, etc. all shift to magenta and are mainly the appropriate color in the cooler, damper periods.
