Dear Ian, I believe there was consensus that this rose was in fact, R. indica major. I believe these six photos should be moved to that file. Do you?

After growing this rose for several years, it was found to be consistently non-repeating, although on one occasion it repeated again late in the season. In my opinion it is a clone of Rosa Indica Major, or a related hybrid, and was probably an old rootstock that had suckered.
