What a beautifully effective boss of stamens on this rose; contrasted against such a lovely colour!

This particular rose has always performed beautifully in this location and a much better specimen than the other Tennis Court. Sadly though its often missed by the public as its tucked away around the corner near the back where no one goes.

I notice too that in some of the Tennis Court photos there is what looks like a large cypress hedge very close to many of the roses. That would surely cause them to struggle from competition for soil moisture.
