Hi Robert, is this a mini or is it the HT Flame of Love? The photos look like the HT.

HT

I lost it many years ago.

That's a shame. It's one I resurrected from Rose Hills from the plant James Kirk (wow, huh? LOL!) was given by Forrest Hieatt who bred it.

It flourished for several years.

When the severe drought hit some years ago I cut back water substantially. A number of established things perished. Sadly this was one.

The odd query here. Should
‘Flame of Love (?miniature) be merged with
‘Flame of Love’ (hybrid tea, Hieatt 1955)
and then the miniature name deleted?

Is ‘James Kirk a synonym of the Hieatt rose?

Hi Patricia, I'm sorry. Yes, ma'am, they should be combined and the mini eliminated. No, ma'am, Jim Kirk (James) was the Rosarian at Rose Hills Memorial Park for several years. He knew Forrest Hieatt and Mr. Hieatt gave him a number of roses which Mr. Kirk took with him from his Poway, CA garden to Rose Hills.

Done and tidied up. Thank you Kim.
Robert, you still have it shown in your HelpMeFind list of roses. I know gardeners never go on holidays, but perhaps on some relaxing day, you might skim through your listing?
