I can ASSURE ANYONE and EVERYONE that this is the hybrid tea rose Wimi
The photograph was taken by me and the exhibit was RNRS Star of Show (Queen)
The bloom is typical of growth and habit seen in the UK.

I have grown and researched this rose prior to buying one and I have never seen one with this intense almost bordering on orange to my untrained eye. Are you sure it is a Wimi??

I am absolutely certain that the rose rose in the photo IS Wimi. This bloom is typical of the colouring that we see on Wimi here in the UK.

Thanks for your comment but really this is Wimi

It must be the climatic differences. My Wimi never gets anywhere that intense of coloring. It is always a nice medium light pink on the outer edge of the petals and almost white on the inner half of the petals. I would love to see some of mine show up that way as I think it is really gorgeous. Thanks for the reply and the information. It just shows I have that much more to learn and look forward to when growing my Wimi.
Rock on........

Hi, John,

Wimi used to be a staple in my area. It has a stronger edging in climates like the PNW and the UK.
