Another beautiful picture! Is this growing in your garden? I'm wondering how big it will get in Marin County, California. It looks like it might send out long canes that arch over? Thanks!

Redwood Rose, it does grow pretty tall and lanky, but doesn't arch as much as you'd think. It generally just shoots straight up and gets 6-7ft tall. You pretty much have to peg it, or train it if you wanted it as a rambler. In your climate, tho, it might get even bigger than mine. My summer temps peak out between 100 and 110 degrees. That tends to slow things down.

How about training it against a wall that gets afternoon sun?

I'm sure it would do just fine.
