The British Clematis Society has set up two National Display Gardens (Bourne Hall and Helmsley Walled Garden). Each of the gardens has been planted so that visitors can see different methods of using the plants and to highlight their long flowering season.
Work on renovating the Garden began in 1994 and in 1998 around one hundred clematis were planted. The garden is open to the public from April to October, from 10.30am until 5.00pm. From Novermber until March it is open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 10.00am until 4.00pm. Members of the British Clematis Society are admitted free. Otherwise, admission costs
