I moved here about 2.5 years ago, lucky & pleased with the idea of finally having a garden. It's small, about 49m2 (58 sq. yd), facing SW. Most of the surface was paved, with only the edges planted with monstrous conifers etc. Paving & existing plants I got rid of, & started planting haphazardly from early summer 2007. I love plants with either scented foliage or flowers, and roses of course. At first I restricted myself to 'old' roses & planted too many things. Of course these plants are gorgeous, but alas they only flower for a few weeks in summer. I'm now slowly changing a few, & planting some relatively modern shrubs & climbers for a prolonged season.
