January 2019 - This photograph shows the front entrance to the Woodland Public Library. This is a historic Carnegie Library, over 100 years old. The roses planted in the front of the library are almost all Hybrid Musks and make up a portion of the Perimeter Garden.
This photo depicts the "Stroll through Rose History" within the Saltsman Garden. The walkway and the arches are hosts to some historically significant roses. The oldest may be "Rosa Gallica Officinalis."
This photograph depicts the first garden planted by the Club, "The Memorial Garden." It is dedicated to the memory of many former members of the Woodland community.
This is a photo of the sign depicting the garden. This garden is composed of three separate sub-gardens: The Saltsman Garden, the Memorial Garden, and the Perimeter Garden. They represent different stages of garden development. The first garden, the Memorial Garden, was dedicated in 1991, the Perimeter Garden was dedicated in 1992, and the Saltsman Garden was dedicated in 1998.
January 2019 - This is a photograph of the Saltsman Garden portion of the Gardens of the Woodland Library Rose Club. In the foreground is the Sensory Garden where fragrant roses of all types are planted along with companion plants that also add fragrance and texture to the garden.
