The Heritage Garden is recognized as one of the top gardens in South Australia. At the beginning of the C21 Walter and Kay Duncan turned what was essentially a vacant block into the beautiful garden of today. With a backdrop of Eucalyptus trees, the garden is filled with both heritage and modern roses with extensive companion plantings of perennials. Twenty arches adorned with Souvenir de la Malmaison stands out and is used as a walk for bridal parties. A large collection of Guillot roses, many never commercially released, can be found in the top section of the garden. Banksiae clamber up into the trees and a hedge of the same borders one side of the quince orchard. Trees in the garden provide shade in summer and autumn colour. The relatively new stone Moon Gate leads to the labyrinth of ornamental grasses. The house was created from the demolition of the Duncan family home in Adelaide and the material used to rebuild the home with all modern facilities. Roses such as Lamarque adorn the walls of the house. The old cottage was renovated and is now used as B&B Accommodation set within the tranquillity of this outstanding garden.
