Renziehausen Park Arboretum Rose Garden is located in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, about seventeen miles from downtown Pittsburgh. [From Best Kept Secrets!, by John Consigliero, in the Winter 1998 Issue of The Rose Vine, newsletter fo the Penn-Jersey District, p. 5:] At one time the garden contained over 7,000 roses of many different varieties, including many old garden roses. It is still the second largest rose garden in Pennsylvania, with the garden at Hershey being the largest. There are currently in excess of 1,200 roses of many different varieties residing in twenty-eight beds. In addition, the garden contains three raised miniature rose beds of approximately 300 bushes... Entrance to the garden is free. Maintenance of the garden is done principally by volunteers.
