An avid gardener and rose enthusiast, Sally Allison has become well-known to new Zealand gardeners through her presidency of Heritage Roses New Zealand Inc. and is recognised as an authority and speaker on older roses both within this country and internationally. Her ten-acre country garden, Lyddington, near Rangiora, receives a large number of visitors every year. When not in her garden she is usually found with her camera in someone else's.
