Laura Peters is a certified Master Gardener with more than 16 years experience as a gardening consultant. She has worked within the horticultural industry in just about every capacity including retail, wholesale, production, distribution, teaching and now researching and garden writing. She has written 5 rose books to date and 2 gardening books to date with 6 more due for release in the new year (2005). Her practical knowledge of contemporary plant varieties, gardening products and safe gardening practices covers almost every aspect of the horticulture industry. Her areas of interest include roses, alpines and exotic perennials, indoor gardening and herbs and Japanese gardening. She has co-authored Roses for British Columbia and Roses for Washington and Oregon with Brad Jalbert, Roses for Ontario with Liz Klose, Roses for Michigan with Nancy Lindley and Roses for Northern California with Rosy McKenney.
