Fryer's Roses introduced five new roses at this year's Chelsea Flower Show.
'Royal Star & Garter' has candy pink blooms of excellent form that are quite large and borne in clusters of several together on long stems that are ideal for training on pergolas, pillars, walls and fences. A perpetual flowering variety giving an almost constant display all summer.
'Tatton' is a medium growing floribunda in an unusual shade of burnt orange. The flowers are large, heavily petalled with a fruity fragrance. They are carried in clusters with reliable continuity on growth which is strong and vigorous with large attractive leaves that are highly resistant to disease. Named to celebrate the first RHS show at Tatton Park in 1999.
'Golden Oldie' has masses of golden yellow blooms that are large and well-formed and are carried evenly on a neat bush of medium size. Very early to flower and extremely quick to repeat ensuring a reliable display through the summer.
'Cheshire' is a new Hybrid Tea for the county of Cheshire in shades of bronze and harvest gold (the colour of the cheshire wheatsheaf). The flowers are large, well-formed and carried in abundance, each one with a delightful perfume on a neat bushy plant. Foliage is dark green with excellent disease resistance.
'Thinking of You' is a new Hybrid Tea with flowers that are large and beautifully formed with velvety petals of rich deep crimson and a fruity fragrance. An easy to grow variety demonstrating an excellent resistance to disease. The flowers are borne singly and in clusters with dependable continuity throughout the season on a neat bushy plant of medium height.
