Many prickles, small light green leaves. It is probable that one of its parents was a centifolia. It has the unusual fragrance of myrrh, and this would seem to indicate there is also Ayrshire 'Splendens' in its make up for this scent was unique to those roses. Height to 3 ft. Bred by Parmentier (Belgium), introduced 1845.
