General MacArthur. Wonderful rose in Pacific North-West and Pacific South-West, where it gives fine growth and blooms profusely during a long season.    In England the most popular red rose for general cultivation.

Tea roses. Georges Schwartz. Schwartz 1899. (Kaiserin Augusta Viktoria X Souvenir de Mme. Levet.) Clear canary-yellow; fine bud form; large semi-double flower, opening well in damp and cold winds. Foliage and growth good. Said to be of climbing habit in New South Wales and may be expected to have that attribute in S. Zones. Recommended by Hazlewood, of New South Wales.

Gruss an Teplitz. Gescwind, 1897. ((Paxton X Fellemberg X Papa Gontier) X Gloire des Rosomanes.) Extremely hardy. Velvety crimson, shaded maroon; short bud, opens flat and loose; medium size; very fragrant. Remarkably fine growth and fairly free of mildew. Usually holds foliage well. In a class by itself, and may be used over the entire country. A remarkable bloomer, giving over one hundred blooms in Ce. Zone.
Reported to have sported for Miss Mary Simons, of Brockton, N.Y., giving pink roses, large and full. ...

Tender Climbing Roses...Gwen Nash (Cl.Ht.) Clark, 1920. Cyclamen-pink, with white eye; large, semi-double flower with outer petals beautifully reflexed; lasting; slight fragrance. Foliage black-spots. Reported from Australia, where it originated, as a vigorous climber and continuous bloomer with some, and as only a spring bloomer with others. Being tested by Howard & Smith, Los Angeles, Calif., and shows great promise.

HENRIETTA . Merryweather , 1916 . Hardy . Classed as an HT., but one would suspect Austrian Brier blood .
Coral-red with yellow and shrimp shadings, much the same as Mme. Edouard Herriot; semi-double, medium size; does not last; fragrant. Upright growth; strong stem. Fair foliage.
Not yet used to any extent in America, but superior to Mme. Edouard Herriot in strength ofstems, which do not wilt. May be of much importance.
