Possibly Patrick Henry Meehan
[From Proceedings of the Third Annual Convention of the Society of American Florists, held at Chicago, Ill., August 16th, 17th, and 18th, 1887, Boston 1887, p. 176:] List of Members for 1888-1889....Illinois ...Meehan, P. H., Aurora
[From The Florists' Exchange, October 29, 1892, p. 833:] From P. H. Meehan, No. 5 West Broad st., Richmond, Va. blooms of a seedling rose which he obtained while trying for a yellow H. P. rose. In color it is a deep cream or nearly salmon, looking like Vallée du Chamounix. Mr. Meehan says it forces well and is a fine bedding rose. The color is good, and if it can be grown with stiff stem and to good size it might become an acquisition.
[From The American Florist, August 1, 1899, p. 600:] P. H. MEEHAN, the well known rose grower, is now located in Richmond, Va, Mr. Meehan has had good success in several large places in Illinois and ought to do still better where the climate is so well adapted for roses.
