Werner Noack (May 19, 1927 Hetzdorf near Dresden - July 19, 1922)
Werner Noack established his nursery in 1953 and began 1957 to breed roses. In 1997 he passed his nursery on to his son Reinhard Noack. See Noack-Rosen.
[From The Encyclopedia of Roses, by Robert Markley, p. 21:] Werner Noack (1927- ) The international breakthrough came for him in 1988 with the rose 'Flower Carpet'... Noack has, from the beginning, concentrated his breeding efforts on robust garden roses. By always seeking an easy-care rose, he has not treated his selection fields with a wholesale application of fungicides for decades.
