[From Lyon horticole, February 1913, Nr. 3, p. 46:] M. Jouanem Puyravaud est décédé à Goubière, à Sainte-Foy-la-Grande (Gironde), le 5 février, dans sa 67e année.
[From Journal des Roses, April 1913, pp. 54-55:]...M. Puyravaud has died ..last February 5th, at the age of 69 years, in his nursery of Goubière (Gironde). Born in a family of nurserymen, he was brought up with gardening; he undertook general horticulture in his family business and moved in 1880 to Dainte-Foy-la-Grande, where he specialised in the culture of Roses....
