[From The Makers of Heavenly Roses, by Jack Harkness, p. 108:] Joaquin Aldrudeu was... the only rose breeder of note in Spain before the turn of the century. He introduced a few roses during the 1890s, but died, without any great successes, before Pedro Dot joined the firm. Father of Miguel Aldrufeu (see Rose)
