Never EVER would have believed this: Pristine does amazingly well own-root................I am so shocked...........the band I received in March has thrown out so many basals it looks to the eye like a budded plant I would have purchased...............and as ever and as I recall, the blooms are a little scarce but the substance is amazing..............I get no scent from it and never have...............

In my garden in Michigan, my Pristine has a very good fragrance..always. but some like Tropicana depend on "just the right" temp or weather....go figure.

This beautiful rose really does look like porcelain. I think the reason it doesn't last as long in the vase (as some HTs) is that the petals have so much substance that they are heavy and fall quickly! As for fragrance I don't know why?? folks but I always get a very pleasant sweet scent from mine- no matter what the weather or temperature.

No doubt this a beautiful rose when it comes to spectacular color splash on the landscape. It has a nice scent too. Maybe it's hard to find because it is (was) quite susceptable to blackspot ?. At least my plant was, and reviews on this rose seem to bear me out. I threw mine away years ago but maybe I'll try to grow it again because it's such an interesting rose . J&P used to sell it ....maybe they can point you as to where to get it. Try the "BUY" tab on this HMF page too.
