Just wondering if you had any luck locating a Brandenburg Gate? I fell in love with it too. Tried recently to root one from a cutting. Looked great for weeks and then tanked quickly. I should have never tried, rookie rosarian that I am! Thanks! Starla

Hi Cliff,
I have been spending some time tonight getting better acquainted with the Help Me Find website and I finally figured out how to find just your photos. I am still scrolling through but came across a series of photos with the abstract sculptures used as climbing structures - too cool. Where is this garden?
Thanks,
Jim Harding Nashville, TN

Thanks very much, Jim. It's in Morongo Valley, about 30 miles from Palm Springs, California. But we're up the mountain from Palm Springs, at an elevation of about 3,000 ft. above sea level, so the weather is considerably cooler here, with freezing temperatures and even occasional snow in winter. Most of the structures are scrap metal fences, gates, etc. that I bought from a local welding company and spray painted. They're secured with cement, as the winds up here can be fierce.

"STARLA" white mini rose tree -- I saw this at HomeDepot in East Palo Alto, CA 9/06/05. Priced at $ 22.49 for a 24' tree. -- K Haas, Silicon Valley

Starla was bred by Laurie Chaffin, former proprietress of Pixie Treasures Mini Roses in Yorba Linda, CA. It's a very nice rose, as were many of Laurie's creations. You'll enjoy the rose.

Hello,
My wife's name is Starla, and I have six of the roses that bear her name. I would be very interested in finding out Laurie Chaffin's story on how she came to name this rose Starla.
Thank you,
Jim Harding
