Grew up with roses in Southern California z9 where hybrid teas and floribundas were common and easy bedding plants.

Moved to Hong Kong z11 equivalent where space restrictions only allowed gardeners to cultivate garden plants in pots, including roses.

Finally moved to Toronto Canada, z6 for the last 17 years where rose growing is not as easy due to climate limitations. However still managed to grow tender Chinas and noisettes outdoors with good protection due to my zonal denial.
