The romantic in me loves old garden roses smelling of damask, blue themed gardens and memories from childhood of fields of poppies and bachelor buttons. the purist in me loves clean modern lines, rock gardens and the mix of texture and shades of grasses and greens, while the beach bum in me longs for tropical lands with huge foliage, exotic flowers and fruits that drape down from the jungle canopy. In simpler words, my interests and tastes vary greatly.

Currently I grow my roses, clematis, delphiniums, hostas, veggies and other plants in containers on my south facing patio on the wet coast of BC. I garden organically, and yes, I can't stand roses without scent! A rose must smell like a rose.
