Damask Perpetual, Portland.  Dark purple, carmine-pink shading.  Strong fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals), flat bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Height: 3' to 4' (90 to 120cm).  Width: 2' to 4' (60 to 120cm). Jean Laffay (1845).
