I started growing roses in 2008. My garden is organic (no synthetic pesticides or fungicides). My interest developed out of hanging out with my father who has grown roses for 40 years. Last year (summer 2010) I took a class, "Going Green with Roses" at the New York Botanical Garden, that has changed my thinking about my rose garden. I've since moved more into planting Old Garden roses.
