I fell in love with a vibrant dark pink rose growing on an abandoned property across the street from my dentist's office. I took pictures and admired the beauty of the roses. I thought it would be a simple matter to find out the name of the rose and purchase a plant.
Yes, I smile now at my ignorance, but it led me to read several rose books and to dig up the rose when demolition threatened to destroy them. I did finally find out that the rose was a "Robin Hood Rose" which is not considered a "fancy" rose, but I still love its bright exuberance.
Since then I have added a few more roses and yearn for more. The website HelpMeFind.Com has been invaluable for learning more about roses.
