I garden in zone 5, in dappled sun/shade with many deer that live on my property - a daily battle, but worth it. Roses are my primary interest, but clematis, peonies and iris are also high on my list. I am a collector of plants and will try just about anything as long as it fits my color scheme of pinks, blues, purples and white. Brighter colors are used around my barn, where they look more appropriate. I started gardening as a child and continue to learn something new every day.
