The Bobby and Harold Alfond Children's Garden in the Coastal Maine Botanical Garden. This play house with the grassy roof contains a well equipped kitchen in which children can take a break from the gardens. What a fun and creative way to interest children in gardening! Mid October 2014.

4 blooms in different stages of opening, cut from the same rosebush on the same day, grown in a container on my 8th floor balcony

Dee-lish after 3 months bought as own-root from Roses Unlimited. Take Munstead Wood, crank up the scent 10 times, and you'll get Dee-lish. One bloom can perfume the entire room, smells like heaven regardless of the weather.

This thing is going bonkers now. Same plant, just 24 days later (30th August 2016). Flowering its head off, with plenty more to come. Robustly healthy. For only eleven weeks in the ground from bare root, in the middle of winter, I'd say this is a rather good little plant. Scent isn't strong on the cloves claimed by some people, at least not to my nose, but is very pleasant nonetheless. I'd call it maybe a hint of spice, coming in behind a mild musky rose.
