I live in the inland east Bay Area of Northern California. My garden is very sunny, hot and dry. Summers are generally in the 90s F with many days over 100 F. I grow a lot of pollinator-friendly, drought tolerant plants but also love to have a variety of cutting flowers I can bring in the house to enjoy. I am relatively new to gardening and really enjoy all the information, inspiration and resources from HMF. I wanted to join and contribute :-)

Three of my roses were planted in 2020 and are grafted on Dr. Huey. The remaining are brand-new baby bands on their own-root, planted in 2022. It’s my first time growing own-root roses and hope that—with lots of work and patience—they will grow well and bring joy for many years to come!
