Bred by Julien-ALEXANDRE Hardy (France, before 1820).
Introduced in France by Jean-Pierre Vibert in 1820 as 'Abatucci'.
Introduced in France by Julien-Alexandre Hardy / Roseraie du Luxembourg in 1824 as 'Ornement des Rouges'.
Class:
Gallica / Provins.  
Bloom:
Red.  Large, double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  Prolific, once-blooming spring or summer.  
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 8b.  Prune after flowering is finished.  This rose blooms on old wood.
