In the Trial Grounds 1979-80. ....Just missing an award and the highest pointed rose for both novelty and colour was John's velvety mahogany brown H.T. type floribunda 'Tane' (SIMetna). This is a very healthy rose with dark green glossy foliage like holly - its mean fault would be the tendency to hang on to its petals far too long.
