Bloom:
Red. Cardinal red. Strong fragrance. 23 to 28 petals. Average diameter 2". Large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Medium buds.
Habit:
Medium, bushy, upright, well-branched. Medium, matte, dark green foliage. 3 to 7 leaflets.
Height: 18" to 30" (45 to 75cm). Width: up to 20" (up to 50cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 5b through 10b. Can be used for beds and borders, container rose, cut flower or garden. Hardy. Disease susceptibility: disease resistant. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that. Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) . Can be grown in the ground or in a container (container requires winter protection). Feed this rose well.
