'Smooth Queen ™' rose Description

ARS:
Yellow blend Hybrid Tea. Registration name: HadqueExhibition name: Smooth Queen ™
Bloom:
Yellow, pink shading. Strong fragrance. 34 to 36 petals. Average diameter 4.5". Very large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, globular bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Ovoid buds.
Habit:
Medium, compact, few or no prickles/thorns. Medium, glossy, medium green foliage. 3 to 7 leaflets.
Height: up to 39" (up to 100cm). Width: up to 20" (up to 50cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Can be used for beds and borders, container rose, cut flower, garden or hedge. Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.

...originated by my crossing `KIKA` as the seed parent with `REMEMBER ME` as the pollen parent..... observations are made of specimens grown outdoors in Orinda, Contra Costa County, Calif., in the month of October, 2003.

There's very little information available about Smooth Queen, but the following is from the Wallararoses.com.au website in Australia:
"This regal hybrid tea has lovely soft apricot buds, opening to reveal stunning blooms with reflex petals, fading to cream with soft pink edges. It has a pleasantly light fruity fragrance, flowering continuously over the flowering season and would be good for cut flowers. Smooth Queen is available by mail order in Bush."
