Please read the descriptions of Rosa ecae subspecies primula. The armature is well within those descriptions. The yellow bloom posted by the same rosarian is definitely not R. sericea. I'll post photos of R. primula, which is still dormant here. The prickles are quite similar to those posted, if somewhat less dramatic.
