How are you liking this one? This rose and Ring of Fire are the only 2 I see (from North America) that interest me for 2017.

So far, so good. I like them both. Both are vigorous growers, but both my plants are grafted, so I don't know how they'd do on their own roots. Another one that is surprisingly good from this year's newbies batch is Sol Desire.

I think Sol Desire looks great, too, but I have a lot of yellow floris and shrubs, so I opted to look over it.
Canyon Road is probably good on its own roots, is my guess.

Because I haven't sprayed in over 10 years, I know that Marilyn Monroe defoliates here. I still own it. It defoliates from BS here, without spray. I am okay with that, because its an awesome rose otherwise, and most HTs defoliate here. Savoy Hotel is fully clothed, as I write this, so there are some that do great for disease. With that said, I know Ring of Fire will have challenges here, but it looks like MM in coral red, so I am willing to take the plunge.

Sorry to spam. I have been in a rose mood this week, thinking of 2017!
Did you grow Sweetness? I used to own it, but left it in a move. I loved it. JP didn't have it last year. Did it mildew there, or is it a "safe" mauve? Also wishing JP would sell Ronald Reagan again, as it was beautiful. I should have bought it. Any experience with either of those there? I have been trying to evaluate how to see roses in the South better, for reasons of breeding.
