'Darlow's Enigma' now 6th year own root, US zone 7, NJ; Friday, June 11, 2021. Reference prior 3 years of photos. After last years downpour causing some of the main stems to bend downward the growth rate slowed and the height dropped to about 5 1/2 feet (1.67m). While the growth rate has not been as fast as in its younger years it is just slightly over 6 feet high (1.82m) and 7 feet wide (2.1m). The slower growth rate may be attributable to a larger bush. This is the view of the north facing side of the bush. The hedge is to the south. It receives 8 to 10 hours of sun.

Oslo, July 2020. Failsafe Darlow's Enigma growing as a bush on top of a fence. The cloud of scent surrounding it in the morning is just fantastic. Perfect health, nonstop flowering and nice hips.

"Darlow's Enigma" now 5th year own root, US zone 7; Thursday, June 4, 2020. Reference prior 2 year photos. Bush just over 6 feet tall and had started to slowly spread out. Weight of rain caused semi-hard wood limbs to bend downward. A severe thunder storm had just passed through the day before but the right side had already bowed over from rain earlier. New canes are emerging in the center to fill the gap. This appears natural for the bush. You could keep it trimmed at the 5-6 foot range if you don't like the look of this. I'm going to let it fill out.
