Review of Newer Roses 1978-79. Fragrant Hour. Pink. 11 reports; 4 years grown: Average height 120cm; Rating 7.5. Christchurch: Good fragrance, blooms open quickly, subject to rust. Died, but am replacing as was impressed. Gisborne: Good fragrant rose; holds colour well and repeats quickly. Lower Hutt: Nice perfumed pink. long stemmed blooms, repeats quickly. Has improved in cooler situation.

Fragrant Hour Pink. 15 reports. 3 years. 120cm. Rating 7.1. New Plymouth: Tall growing. Scented blooms. Good form but fleeting. Wellington: Good form and colour. Shy bloomer. Perfumed. Oamaru: Good perfumed rose but not many blooms.

Fragrant Hour Pink. 15 reports. One year. Av. height 90cm. Rating 7.7. Masterton: Good strong grower, healthy growth. Good colour. Taupo: Tall, fragrant, long strong stems. Very full pink blooms. Good garden variety. Some mildew this very wet season. Gisborne: rust started (Jan). Vigorous upright growth, flowers well but not enough petals for our heat and wind. Fragrant.
