Origin:
Bred by Joseph Pernet-Ducher (France, before 1929).
Introduced in France by Jean-Marie Gaujard in 1931 as 'Léon Chenault'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1933 as 'Léon Chenault'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Carmine-pink, salmon-pink shading, lighter undertones.  Strong fragrance.  Very large, very double, borne mostly solitary bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
