Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Can be used for beds and borders, container rose or garden. Vigorous. produces decorative hips. Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood.. Prune after flowering is finished.

See also Rosa canina emarginata The synonmy 'Emmeline' = 'Madeline' is incorrect, according to the "Annales de flore et pomone", 'Madeline' is 'Emmeline à fleurs pleine', i.e. Emmeline with full blooms, contrary to the original 'Emmeline', which had semi-double blooms. 'Margin Hip' vs. 'Double Margined Hip' suggests the same.
