In the photos, this rose is shown growing and thriving is Billings, Montana and Lee, NY, which is down the road a piece from where I live, in zone 5a. Sweet Chariot would seem to be hardy to colder than zone 6b.

I just read today (four years later) that this rose won the James Gamble Award for fragrance. I think it's well-deserved in this case! This is one of the few roses I know where I can detect the scent at a distance. I have a very poor sense of smell, so you know the scent is powerful!
