Mrs. J.D. Eisele was small and blackspotted... I never did get a decent bloom the whole season through. The buds burned and balled under the sun.

After 'Max Krause', the race for second place among yellows in my garden lies between 'Mrs. Pierre S. du Pont', 'Golden Dawn' (absolutely the finest non-Pernetiana yellow rose in the world), 'Président Charles Hain,' 'Mrs. E.P. Thom', 'Eldorado', 'Roselandia', ' and 'Soeur Thérèse'.

I am going to hold on to 'Mme. Raymond Gaujard' another season, to try and make it behave. Once in a "coon's age" it throws a gorgeous-looking bloom that is mighty restful to the eye.

Roslyn an improvement over 'Souv. de Claudius Pernet,' but has poor shape and not quite the same vigor.

Soeur Thérèse makes a wonderful bush of almost Hybrid Perpetual growth; its buds are bronze-yellow, almost like 'Mme. Alexandre Dreux,' but the flowers fade... Souvenir was a miserable failure, although I have tried it two years with plants from different localities. Under glass I have seen it have wonderful blooms.

Token is another brand-new rose that "done me wrong." It might be great in the hothouse, but in the garden it was a washout.
