'Fågelfors' ....Known to have been in culture in Sweden since 1908....In the DNA profile only five of six markers succeeded.... The five markers indicate that it ia unique accession in the Gallica group.

'Fjärmans' .... Known in culture in Sweden since 1900, but thought to be older.... Its DNA profile is closest to 'Ankäns i Listarum', with a similarity index of 94,4%. Other close varieties are 'Hovby', 'Bovallens Paulina', 'Kullängen', Pustebacken' with its sport and the moss rose 'Skoftebyn' with similarity indices between 66,7 and 61,9%.

'Gloire de France'....Bizard, France 1828.... ...Its DNA-profile is closest to 'Sällvassen', with a similarity index of 77,8%. ..Other close varieties are 'Président de Sèze', ?Bovallens Paulina' and Kullängen' with similarity indices between 72,2 and 68,4%.

'Häggeby'....In the Blomboken of Olof Rudbeck the elder [Swedish botanist, 1630-1702] is a drawing of a Gallica rose named "Rosa purpurea", named by Caspar Bauhin. It was cultivated in Rudbeck's botanical garden in the latter half of the 1600s. 'Häggeby' has a great resemblance to this "Rosa purpurea".... reminds very much of 'Linnés Hammarby'.... 'Häggeby' is probably a sport of 'Linnés Hammarby'. The similarity index is 100%.

'Hildas Vita'...Known in culture in Sweden since 1900.... shows similarities with the well-known variety 'Mme Hardy', which differs by fuller blooms and the often pink shading of the buds, not yellowish white as 'Hildas Vita'...The DNA analysis resultet that the sort belongs to the Gallica group....The closest relative is 'Mölnbo' with a similarity index of 75%. Other nearest sorts are 'Duchesse de Montebello' and 'Rose de Shelfhout as well as 'Linnés Hammarby' with similarity indices of 71,4 and 63,6%....

'Hovby'.... Known in culture in Sweden since 1902... Morphologically 'Hovby' differs from the other Gallica roses in the National Gene Bank by its bicolor blooms...The nearest varieties to its DNA profile are 'Pustebacken', 'Östorp', Rörum' and 'Karifasters', which all have the same DNA-profile. Similarity of 73,7%... Other nearest Gallica varieties are 'Tuscany Superb', 'Kerstins Tuscany Superb', 'Änkans i Listarum', 'Fjärmans' and 'Kullängen', all with similarity indices between 70,0 and 65,0%.

Translation:
Rosa villosa 'Huldra' ....a spontaneous hybrid which originated in Evert Nilsson's nursery in Ǻs, Jämtland. ...Known in Swedish culture sinde de 1950s or 1960s....In his book Välkommen i min Lustgård (2007) Evert Nilsson states that "Huldra" is a hybrid between 'Poppius' and Rosa rubiginosa... The DNA study of Pom shows that"Huldra" has other parents than what Evert Nilsson stated.....Pom's DNA study shows that the seed parent of "Huldra" is Rosa villosa,...  "Hurdal" or another variety which is closely related to Rosa villosa. A variety in the Spinosissima-Group, probably with light or white blooms, is in all probability the pollen parent.

'Karleby' .... Known in culture in Sweden since about 1920.... The variety distinguishes itself genetically from 'Aimable Amie' by a single allelel in one marker. The similarity index is 94,1%. Morphologically no character differentiating 'Karleby' and 'Aimable Amie' could be ascertained.... Other close varieties are 'Törnfall', ?Pustebacken' and its sport as well as 'Mönbo' with similarity indices of 77,8 and 70,0%.

'Kerstins Tuscany Superb'....Known in culture in Sweden since the 1930s. ....The variety is morphologically identical with 'Tuscany Superb' in all characters except the petals, which have pronounced stripes. ...Its DNa profile is identical with 'Tiscany Superb' ... with a similarity index of 100% [measured with 6 markers]
