Born 1904 Dorset England. In 1933 he was hired as an assistant to William Godfrey at the Morden Experimental Farm. Upon Godfrey's retirement in 1946 Harp became head gardener at Morden. He retired in 1969. Bert Harp was succeeded by Henry Marshall.
