Origin:
Bred by O.L. Weeks (1912-2002) (United States, 1980).
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Red, cream reverse.  None to mild, spice fragrance.  30 petals.  Average diameter 4.25".  Large, borne mostly solitary, cluster-flowered, in small clusters, exhibition, high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Medium, leafy sepals, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Tall, armed with thorns / prickles, upright, well-branched.  Medium, glossy, dark green, dense, leathery foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer.  Can be used for cut flower, exhibition or garden.  Hardy.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
