90 percent of the buds wouldn't open from 2000 through 2004. I pulled out some 8 ft tall arbor vitae in early 2005 (bare area to right in pic). That gave UJ 4+ more hours of sun. 70+ percent of the buds open now. Montana is still too cool for UJ to be totally happy.
